SJC Sports Mobile Application Project

S.J.C. Sports application offered all new updates of school sports events of St. Joseph's College Colombo 10. It included all new upcoming and post-events with results.

It catered applications for Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows mobile platform.

Purpose:

As former students of the college who actively participated in college societies like the I.C.T. society and the Radio Club we frequently were asked by members of the O.B.U. Whether we were capable of making a systematic method of getting information about the occurrences within the school with this initiative the board of the I.C.T. Society created a Facebook page dedicated to bridging the gap as a media association. Although as we grew up, we understood many downfalls of this system and the inception of SJC SPORTS occurred.

Alongside the mobile application, S.J.C. News website which gave a platform for various sports clubs in the school to showcase their performance to all Josephians.

Technologies used:

·       PhoneGap’sCordova: For building a hybrid multi-platform mobile application.

·       Laravel: For the web application to handle the API and the website.

·       OAuth Tokens
